Axor has launched an updated version of its MX Carbon helmet, featuring improved shell technology and a lighter weight

Axor, an Indian riding gear manufacturer, has introduced an updated version of its MX Carbon helmet. This latest iteration boasts improved shell technology, making it the world's lightest, triple certified helmet with ECE 22.06, ISI, and DOT certifications.

## Key Features of the Updated Axor MX Carbon Helmet

The updated MX Carbon's shell is constructed from a tri-composite material, comprising 3K carbon fibre, aramid fibre, and aerospace-grade fibreglass. This innovative design enables the helmet to achieve a lighter weight than its predecessor. The MX Carbon is available in three shell sizes and four overall sizes (M, L, XL, and 2XL), weighing 1,040g (±50g depending on the sizes).

## Comparison with Competitors

In its price range, the MX Carbon is the lightest and most affordable option. Its closest competitor, the KYT Skyhawk, is heavier (1,200g) and more expensive (Rs 27,000). The KYT Skyhawk also only receives an ECE 22.05 rating, whereas the MX Carbon is certified to ECE 22.06. Another competitor, the LS2 MX700 Subverter Evo, is not available for purchase.

## Availability and Pricing

The updated MX Carbon helmet is manufactured in India and is available for pre-order at Rs 20,060. Deliveries are expected to commence soon, making the MX Carbon Axor's most expensive helmet at present.
