Bajaj to Unveil Updated Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 on August 24
Bajaj Auto is set to launch refreshed versions of the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 motorcycles on August 24. The updated models will feature new engines, a revised chassis, monoshock suspension, and design upgrades inspired by the Pulsar N160.

Bajaj Auto is preparing to introduce updated versions of its popular Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 motorcycles on August 24. The launch follows recent sightings of the bikes arriving at dealerships, signaling their imminent market debut. The refreshed models are expected to bring significant upgrades, including new engines, a revised chassis, and modernized features.
## Engine and Chassis Upgrades
The upcoming Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 will feature a new engine and chassis. The Pulsar 150, at least, is expected to receive an updated oil-cooled engine, though specific power figures remain undisclosed. For comparison, the current models are powered by:
| Model | Engine Capacity | Power | Torque | |----------------|-----------------|-------|--------| | Pulsar 125 | 124.4cc | 11.8hp| 10.8Nm | | Pulsar 150 | 149.5cc | 14hp | 13.3Nm |
The chassis will be entirely new, with a single-downtube frame replacing the existing twin-cradle design. Suspension will include a conventional RSU telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear, replacing the current twin-shock setup. Braking is expected to consist of a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, with single-channel ABS likely reserved for base variants.
## Design and Features
The refreshed Pulsars will retain their classic silhouette while incorporating modern design elements. Key updates include a reworked headlight cowl, side panels, and a new fully digital LCD instrument cluster. Higher variants may feature a TFT instrument cluster, similar to the Pulsar N160’s top variant. Additionally, the heel-toe gear shifter will be replaced with a toe shifter, and both models will come with single-piece seats, though higher variants of the Pulsar 150 may offer split-seat options.
Bajaj has previously attempted to replace the classic Pulsar models but has had to keep them due to sustained demand. Whether these updated versions will succeed in replacing their predecessors remains to be seen. More details are expected closer to the August 24 launch date.
