Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Hits 4 Lakh EV Sales Mark

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited has reached a significant milestone, crossing four lakh cumulative electric vehicle sales. This achievement makes the company the first commercial vehicle manufacturer in India to achieve this milestone. It has also retained its position as India's largest electric commercial vehicle manufacturer for four consecutive financial years.
The company's electric commercial vehicles include the Treo range, UDO, Zor Grand, e-Alfa, and ZEO. These vehicles are used for various purposes, including passenger mobility and cargo applications.
Speaking on the achievement, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra described last-mile mobility as the starting point of India's electric vehicle transition. He noted that electric three-wheelers were expected to be among the first vehicle categories to achieve price parity with fossil-fuel alternatives. Their intensive commercial usage allows operators to recover the higher acquisition cost through lower daily running and maintenance expenses.
Operating Costs and Earnings
Electric three-wheelers have an operating-cost advantage that is particularly important for drivers, delivery partners, and small businesses. Savings on every kilometre directly influence earnings for these individuals and businesses.
Mahindra EVs' Environmental Impact
Mahindra's electric commercial vehicles have collectively travelled more than nine billion kilometres. This has helped avoid approximately 1.85 lakh metric tonnes of CO2 emissions, equivalent to planting more than 8.3 million trees.
Anand Mahindra said the achievement was about more than production and sales figures. Each of these kilometres belongs to a story-a story of enterprise, a story of entrepreneurs who have both made profit and, while doing so, have allowed us to breathe cleaner air.
Target of 10 Lakh EVs by 2031
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility is now working towards putting 10 lakh electric vehicles on the road by 2031. Having crossed four lakh units, it needs to add another six lakh EVs to achieve the target. Mahindra intends to support future growth through new products, financing partnerships, and improvements to its sales, service, and customer-support ecosystem.
Suman Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, said the milestone represents four lakh livelihoods powered every day. She credited drivers, entrepreneurs, partners, and Mahindra's teams for making electric mobility a practical option for India's last-mile economy.
