Safety: Futuristic gold concept car design showcasing modern electric vehicle features.

BYD has unveiled its new sedan flagship, the BYD Da Han, also known as the Great Han, at the 29th Chengdu Auto Show in China. The sedan boasts advanced technology and a remarkable range.

The BYD Da Han has a distinctive design, featuring the "Loong Face" or naga face, with a futuristic look, including a flat main light, Dragon Whiskers panel, and a semi-hidden door handle.

The sedan's dimensions are spacious, measuring 5.256 mm in length, 1.999 mm in width, 1.510 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3.130 mm.

To provide maximum comfort, BYD has equipped the Da Han EV with an air suspension system called DiSus-A dual-chamber, which can raise the ground clearance up to 100 mm. Notably, the large vehicle features a rear-wheel steering system, allowing for a very agile turning radius of 4.95 meters.

On the roof, a LiDAR sensor is integrated with the DiPilot 300 system, supporting the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) feature, enabling the vehicle to move autonomously from one point to another with driver supervision.

Inside the cabin, the luxurious feel is enhanced by the use of genuine wood and a powerful audio system with up to 31 speakers (25 standard speakers). The rear passenger glass features electrochromic technology, which can be adjusted to a desired level of darkness with just one touch of a button.

The dashboard is further enhanced with three screens: a digital instrument panel, a floating main touchscreen, and a dedicated passenger display, complete with a Head-Up Display (HUD) and soft-closing doors.

The BYD Da Han EV's powertrain offers impressive specifications. The RWD variant with a single electric motor is equipped with a 102.3 kWh battery, producing 370 kW of power and a range of 1,008 km, based on the CLTC standard.

In contrast, the AWD variant has a combined power output of 570 kW, but its range is reduced to 880 km.

Both variants support fast charging technology, with a claimed 9-minute charge time to go from 10% to 97%.

In the future, BYD plans to offer a Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) variant, equipped with a 1.5L turbo engine and a 54.4 kWh LFP battery, capable of traveling 470 km on electric power alone.

The BYD Da Han EV is now available for order in China in three trim levels:
