Chery iCAUR 03 electric SUV spied in India
The Chery iCAUR 03 electric SUV has been spotted in India without camouflage, potentially for launch under the JSW Motors brand.

The Chery iCAUR 03, a five-seat electric SUV, has been spotted on Indian roads without any camouflage. The vehicle was seen being transported on a flatbed truck, suggesting preparations for a potential launch under the JSW Motors nameplate.
Specifications and Design
The iCAUR 03 is an electric SUV sold under Chery's iCAUR sub-brand. The model spotted shares the dimensions of the China-spec version. It features a boxy silhouette with black accents on the front bumper and wheel arch cladding. The vehicle also sports flush door handles, LED headlamps, and dual-tone alloy wheels.
Chery has already filed a design patent for this SUV in India. The patented design shows more aggressive body cladding and rugged-looking bumpers compared to the model recently seen. The interior of the China-spec model includes a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, a 9.2-inch digital driver's display, and powered and ventilated seats for both rows. It also comes with Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera.

Potential Indian Market Position
If launched, the iCAUR 03 would likely be sold under the JSW Motors brand. Based on its size and specifications, it could compete in the mid-size electric SUV segment. A potential rival is the upcoming Tata Harrier EV.
JSW Motors has been testing several other Chery-group vehicles in India. These include the Jetour T2, the Chery iCar V23, and the Jaecoo J5. The Jetour T2 is reportedly expected to arrive first by the end of this year. The Jaecoo J5 and the iCar V23 would follow at a later date.
The uncamouflaged sighting of the iCAUR 03 indicates advanced stages of evaluation for the Indian market. Its appearance aligns with Chery's broader strategy of patenting designs for its models in the country. The final version sold here may differ from the Chinese model, potentially adopting the more rugged look seen in the patent filings.
