The Hyundai Genesis GV90 is a full-size electric SUV aimed at the upper end of the luxury SUV market. It is based on the Neolun Concept unveiled in 2024 and features a range of ambitious features that have made it to production, including Rolls-Royce-style coach doors without a conventional fixed B-pillar.

## Design and Features The GV90 will be available in standard and more luxurious Neolun versions. The Neolun version features what Genesis calls Neolun Arch Gate, where the front and rear doors open in opposite directions, creating a wide opening for passengers. There is no conventional fixed B-pillar between them, and the doors are integrated with high-strength dual steel beams for structural strength.

## Specifications The GV90 measures 5,285 mm long, 2,030 mm wide, and has a massive 3,245 mm wheelbase. The height ranges from 1,815 mm to 1,825 mm, depending on the wheel specification. The power comes from two electric motors, with the front motor producing 240 kW and 350 Nm, and the rear motor developing 250 kW and 450 Nm. The combined output stands at 490 kW and 800 Nm, with power going to all four wheels.

## Luxury Interior and Safety Features The GV90 features a 23.6-inch OLED Cinematic Display that combines instrumentation and infotainment functions. The screen can rise by 90 mm to become a larger 24.6-inch entertainment display when the vehicle is parked. Other highlights include a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen Premier 3D sound system with Dolby Atmos, massage seats, and a range of safety features including 12 airbags, including the world's first Roof Airbag.

The GV90 also features a range of luxury interior features, including real wood veneer flooring with radiant heating, a refrigerator, integrated tables, semi-aniline leather upholstery, and a partition separating the passenger compartment from the boot. The GV90 Neolun Executive Suite with a four-seat configuration is positioned towards chauffeur-driven ultra-luxury SUV buyers, with features such as Smart Vision Roof and a limited GV90 Neolun First Edition with exclusive exterior and interior finishes.

## Conclusion The Hyundai Genesis GV90 is a significant unveiling for the Indian luxury car market, with Genesis set to enter India in 2027. While the GV90 may not be among the first models considered for India, it gives Indian buyers an early look at what the brand is capable of ahead of its planned entry. The GV90's range of innovative features, including the world's first Roof Airbag and 25-speaker sound system, make it a significant player in the upper end of the luxury SUV market.
