Volkswagen offers September discounts on four models

Volkswagen has announced a range of customer benefits for September 2026, covering four models in its Indian lineup. The offers apply to the Virtus sedan, the Taigun and Tiguan R-Line SUVs, and the Tayron SUV. The benefits comprise cash discounts, exchange or scrappage bonuses, and loyalty payouts, with their value depending on the specific model, its variant, and its model year.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line discounts

The Tiguan R-Line stands to receive the largest overall benefit this month. Volkswagen is offering total discounts of up to Rs 6 lakh on the SUV. This package is broken down into a Rs 3.5 lakh cash discount, a Rs 2 lakh exchange bonus, and a Rs 50,000 loyalty bonus. Customers who choose to scrap an old vehicle can opt for a Rs 20,000 scrappage benefit instead of the larger exchange bonus.

Volkswagen Taigun discounts

Discounts on the Taigun differ significantly between the outgoing model and the recently updated version. The outgoing model year 2025 (MY2025) Taigun receives higher incentives, including a cash discount of up to Rs 2 lakh and an additional Rs 1 lakh in liquidation support. For the newer MY2026 cars, the cash discount is up to Rs 1 lakh.

On the updated Taigun, cash discounts are more modest. They range from Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000 depending on the variant. The report states the GT Line variant gets Rs 20,000 off, while the Topline AT and GT Plus DSG Sport variants receive Rs 25,000.

For both the outgoing and updated Taigun, eligible buyers can also access a Rs 30,000 exchange bonus or a Rs 20,000 scrappage benefit, plus a Rs 20,000 loyalty benefit. The exchange and scrappage benefits are not combinable, and customers must choose between loyalty or corporate benefits.

Volkswagen Virtus discounts

The Virtus sedan also has discounts split by model year. MY2025 cars are eligible for a cash discount of up to Rs 75,000, while MY2026 cars get up to Rs 50,000 off. Additional benefits include a Rs 30,000 exchange bonus or a Rs 20,000 scrappage benefit, coupled with a Rs 50,000 loyalty benefit.

The maximum total saving is on the MY2025 Virtus Topline MT and AT variants. These combine the Rs 75,000 cash discount, the Rs 30,000 exchange bonus, and the Rs 50,000 loyalty benefit for a total reduction of Rs 1.55 lakh. For MY2026 Topline variants, the maximum benefit reaches Rs 1.30 lakh when combining the Rs 50,000 cash discount with the exchange and loyalty bonuses.

Volkswagen Tayron discounts

Finally, the Tayron SUV, offered in R-Line and Life variants, has benefits of up to Rs 1.5 lakh. There is no direct cash discount on this model. Instead, the package consists of a Rs 1 lakh exchange bonus and a Rs 50,000 loyalty bonus. Customers can substitute the exchange bonus for a Rs 20,000 scrappage benefit if they prefer.
