Aston Martin has expanded its DBX SUV range with a new DBX GT model. The variant sits alongside the sportier DBX S, placing a much greater emphasis on luxury and comfort as a more understated alternative, not a replacement.

The DBX GT retains the additional power of the DBX S but trades its aggressive character for greater long-distance comfort. It acts as a counterpoint to the performance-oriented DBX S, which was introduced in 2025 as the new performance flagship building on the DBX707.

Shared powertrain with revised tuning for comfort

The DBX GT uses the same 727hp 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine as the DBX S, producing 900Nm of torque. A 9-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all four wheels. Performance figures are identical.

The engine uses turbocharger technology derived from Aston Martin’s Valhalla supercar. Despite the shared hardware, the DBX GT features different suspension, transmission, and exhaust tuning compared to the DBX S. The throttle pedal and gearbox have been retuned to operate more smoothly. The suspension has been revised to deliver a more pliant ride on bad roads, aided by a pair of dampers added between the body and rear sub-frame. The exhaust gets a dedicated tune touted to produce a cleaner, richer tone.

Exterior updates distinguish the GT from the S

Visual changes set the GT apart. The lower bumper, side skirts, and rear diffuser are body-coloured as standard, creating a cleaner look without the red accents of the DBX S. The redesigned grille gets horizontal slats instead of a mesh design, and the two-piece side strakes are finished in satin silver.

The rear features a new quad-exhaust setup with tips aligned horizontally, a contrast to the vertically stacked setup on the DBX S. The DBX GT is fitted with new 22-inch Satin Titanium alloy wheels as standard.

Luxury-focused interior enhancements

Inside, the focus is on elevated comfort and isolation. The DBX GT is equipped with a fixed panoramic glass roof as standard to increase the sense of airiness. It has redesigned front and rear seats with extra cushioning and a centimetre-thick layer of memory foam. Outer rear seats have more pronounced headrests and bolsters for lateral support.

Premium materials are used extensively, including semi-aniline leather upholstery. The rotary drive controller and centre console switches use anodised metal. Deep-pile carpets are fitted throughout. Aston Martin has added more sound deadening, improved cabin sealing, and upgraded window lamination to better isolate occupants. The interior layout itself sees no major changes, but buyers can choose from a plethora of colour schemes and upholstery options.

Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark said the "DBX GT is aimed at customers who prefer assured elegance over sporting aggression and demand a higher degree of luxury."

Available to order with deliveries imminent

Orders for the Aston Martin DBX GT can be placed now. First deliveries are planned before the end of 2026, with a full global rollout commencing in the fourth quarter of the year.
