Himalayan 440 drives demand and bookings
The sales record coincided with the launch of the new Himalayan 440. Introduced at the inaugural Himalayan Basecamp in Ladakh, the model features a 443cc long-stroke engine, a six-speed gearbox, and mechanical upgrades aimed at durability and touring comfort. Demand has been immense. Royal Enfield said: "The initial response exceeded company projections and the Himalayan 440 is now fully booked for six months."
This overwhelming demand contributed to strong performance in the sub-350cc segment, which includes electric vehicles. Sales in this category for September reached 1,21,495 units, up 13% year-on-year. Conversely, sales of motorcycles above 350cc declined by 26% in September to 12,463 units.
Flying Flea C6 expands into key European cities
September also saw Royal Enfield's electric mobility brand, Flying Flea, launch its C6 model in Europe and the UK. The rollout targeted five major cities: Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Berlin, and London. The company has established dedicated Flying Flea stores and service support infrastructure across these markets. Deliveries of the Flying Flea C6 are scheduled to begin by October 2026.
One Ride 2026 shows brand’s global and conservation impact
Beyond sales, the brand's community presence was demonstrated by One Ride 2026. The global event united over 1,50,000 riders across 60 countries through more than 1,600 separate rides. This year's ride was linked to snow leopard conservation efforts across the Himalayas, with Royal Enfield pledging a contribution for each participating rider.
Following the September sales peak, Royal Enfield is now scaling production, inventory, and channel readiness to meet anticipated festive-season demand.
