Porsche has launched its flagship Cayenne Electric SUV in India with two variants, priced from Rs 1.77 crore. The models feature dual-motor AWD, an 800V architecture, and a 113kWh battery.

The Porsche Cayenne Electric made its India debut today with two variants priced from Rs 1.77 crore for the base model and Rs 2.28 crore for the Turbo Electric, both ex-showroom. This physical shows follows the model's India price confirmation in late 2025 and marks the arrival of Porsche's flagship electric SUV. The two main variants introduced are the Cayenne Electric and the higher-performance Cayenne Turbo Electric. The vehicle is now available for booking ahead of customer deliveries following its September 30, 2026 debut.

Performance and powertrain

Both variants feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup and a 113kWh battery pack. The standard Cayenne Electric produces 442 PS and 853 Nm of torque with Launch Control, enabling a 0-100 kmph sprint in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 230 kmph. The Cayenne Turbo Electric is the higher-performance version. It generates up to 1,156 PS and 1,500 Nm with Launch Control, catapulting from 0-100 kmph in 2.5 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 260 kmph.

Range, charging and technology

The SUV is built on Volkswagen Group's 800V Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture. It supports up to 400kW DC fast charging, with a 10 to 80 percent top-up taking roughly 16 minutes on a suitable charger. A 10-minute DC charge can provide up to 324km of range. For AC charging, it supports up to 22kW, allowing a full charge from zero in about 5.75 hours. Porsche states the Cayenne Electric is positioned as its flagship electric SUV globally. The battery uses a function-integrated design for improved weight distribution and body rigidity. Accounts of the official WLTP range differ slightly between international data and India-focused reports.

Features and equipment

Standard equipment is comprehensive. The cabin is dominated by a 14.5-inch curved OLED infotainment touchscreen and a 14.25-inch digital driver display. An optional 14.9-inch passenger display is available. Premium features include electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, four-zone automatic climate control, a cabin air purifier, and wireless phone charging. A 10-speaker sound system is standard, with higher-end audio likely offered. The SUV also comes with a 360-degree camera, ADAS, powered boot lid, rear sunshades, and soft-close doors. Ambient lighting offers 30 configurable colours. Externally, it measures 4,985mm in length, which is 55mm longer than the ICE-powered Cayenne. It rides on standard 20-inch alloy wheels, with options up to 22 inches. Boot space is 781 litres, with an additional 90-litre frunk at the front. All prices are ex-showroom, India. The Cayenne Electric is positioned alongside existing petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid Cayenne models in the Indian market.
