Porsche will officially launch the Cayenne Electric in India on September 30, 2026. The standard model will start at around Rs. 1.76 crore (ex-showroom), a price announced late last year, while the range-topping Turbo Electric is expected to command over Rs. 2.26 crore.
Porsche confirms the Cayenne Electric will be offered in two variants for the Indian market: the standard model and the high-performance Turbo. The more powerful Cayenne S Electric, which develops 666 PS, will not be sold in the country.
Performance and Range
The standard Cayenne Electric features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup developing up to 442 PS and 835 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 230 kmph. Its WLTP-certified range is between 576 and 643 km, depending on specification.
The Cayenne Turbo Electric raises performance significantly. It produces up to 1,156 PS and 1,150 Nm, enabling a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 260 kmph. Its WLTP range is rated between 564 and 624 km. Both variants use an 800V electrical architecture.

Charging and Practicality
The 800V system supports DC fast charging at up to 390 kW under suitable conditions. Porsche claims a 10 to 80 percent charge can be achieved in around 16 minutes. Under ideal conditions, up to 325 km of WLTP range can be added in just 10 minutes. An 11 kW AC charger is standard, with an optional 22 kW system available. Porsche is also introducing an optional 11 kW wireless charging system.
The SUV measures 4,985 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,674 mm in height, with a 3,023 mm wheelbase. Luggage capacity is 781 litres behind the rear seats, expanding to 1,588 litres when they are folded. A 90-litre front luggage compartment (frunk) provides additional storage. An optional Off-Road Package increases the towing capacity to 3,500 kg.
Technology and Features
The cabin receives a major overhaul, featuring a curved digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch central touchscreen. An optional 14.9-inch passenger display is available. Other available features include an augmented reality head-up display, digital key functionality, connected services, navigation, and wireless smartphone connectivity.
Higher specifications offer adaptive air suspension, rear-axle steering, Porsche Torque Vectoring, and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control. The regenerative braking system can recuperate up to 600 kW of power, with the electric motors handling a large proportion of braking duties during normal driving.
Externally, the design retains the recognisable Cayenne silhouette but incorporates EV-specific aerodynamic detailing, active aero elements, sleeker lighting units, and a revised front-end treatment. The vehicle is powered by a battery of around 113 kWh capacity.
