Land Rover has launched the limited-edition Range Rover Sport Twenty Edition in India. The SUV, priced at Rs. 1.90 crore (ex-showroom), celebrates twenty years since the model first entered production.

According to the report from Gaadiwaadi, the special edition adds exclusive exterior and interior details. It draws inspiration from the Range Rover Sport's history, including the Stormer concept and the Vesuvius Orange First Edition. The front seats are borrowed from the flagship Range Rover Sport SV.

Design and Features

The most distinctive colour offered is Sanguinello Orange, an ultra-metallic shade that pays tribute to the orange Range Stormer concept. Santorini Black and Ostuni White are also available. A Black Exterior Pack provides a darker treatment for the SUV.

Standard equipment includes 23-inch glossy silver alloy wheels, with gloss black wheels available as an option. 'TWENTY' detailing appears across the exterior. Inside, illuminated tread plates and centre console scripting identify the anniversary model.

The cabin receives Ebony Windsor seats derived from the Range Rover Sport SV. These sculpted seats use a motorsport-inspired design. They are coupled with forged carbon veneers and a black suedecloth headlining, creating a darker and sportier interior atmosphere.

Powertrain and Performance

Globally, the Twenty Edition is offered with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid petrol engine or the P550e plug-in hybrid. For the Indian market, only the V8 mild-hybrid has been selected.

This engine generates 530 PS and 750 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds.

The P550e plug-in hybrid, which is not coming to India, combines a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine with a 105 kW electric motor and a 38.2 kWh battery. This setup produces 550 PS.

Model History and Heritage

The Twenty Edition draws heavily from the two-decade history of the Range Rover Sport. The first generation introduced a more dynamic interpretation of the Range Rover formula. Later generations brought lighter construction, sleeker proportions, and more modern chassis technology.

The second generation spawned the 550 PS Range Rover Sport SVR in 2014. This was ahead of the global introduction of the Range Rover Sport Hybrid. The 635 PS Range Rover Sport SV arrived as the flagship offering in 2023.

The report highlights several historic feats. The second-generation Range Rover Sport set a production SUV record at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in 2013. In 2018, another Range Rover Sport climbed China's 999 steps to Heaven's Gate across 45-degree inclines.

An SUV also completed an 800 km high-speed run across Saudi Arabia's Empty Quarter. The third-generation model drove 193 metres up the Kárahnjúkar Dam in Iceland through a torrent of water.

The limited edition is now available for order.
