Toyota Glanza Facelift Launch Set for October 14
Toyota will launch its updated Glanza hatchback on October 14, following the recent facelift of its badge-engineered counterpart, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.

Toyota will launch the facelifted Glanza hatchback in India on October 14. The launch follows the recent update to its badge-engineered sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, by about a month.
Both the Baleno and Glanza are essentially the same vehicle under different brand names. Upon launch, the updated Glanza will continue to compete with rivals like the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20, as well as the Baleno itself.
Expected Design Updates
As a badge-engineered version of the Baleno, the Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to feature a unique front fascia to differentiate it. Rushlane reports that Toyota will likely maintain this strategy, with the new model potentially carrying over the current Glanza's projector LED headlights and 16-inch alloy wheels, which differ from the Baleno's offerings.
The source wishes the Glanza would "dial down the polarisation for design" seen on the Baleno facelift. It is expected to get a different front grille.
Interior and Feature Upgrades
Most interior elements are likely to be carried forward, but with the addition of several new features. The primary update is expected to be ventilated front seats, described as "a boon for Indian climatic conditions."
Other notable additions could include a wireless charging pad with Qi standard and active cooling, and Clarion-tuned speakers. The report wishes these speakers would be better than those in the Baleno but states that is unlikely. The major potential feature upgrade is the addition of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Rushlane states this system could bring up to eight autonomous features, including auto emergency braking, lane keep assist, auto high beam assist, and adaptive cruise control.
New Powertrain and Specifications
Under the hood, the new Toyota Glanza facelift is expected to share the same 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine already seen in the Swift, Dzire, and Baleno facelift. While performance and refinement are reportedly slightly reduced compared to the previous 1.2-liter four-cylinder unit, fuel efficiency increases by up to 6%.
A CNG bi-fuel powertrain option is also likely to be offered, promising lower running costs. Its CNG tank implementation will reportedly be a single-cylinder setup, similar to the current Glanza and Baleno facelift. Gearbox options will be either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
The report did not provide a comparative table of specifications or pricing for the new model against its rivals.
