Reviews: Toyota Kirloskar Motor will launch three updated models in India within the next year, according to a source report

Toyota Kirloskar Motor will launch three updated models in India within the next twelve months, according to a report from Gaadiwaadi. The planned launches cover a facelifted Glanza hatchback, an updated Innova Hycross MPV, and an all-new Fortuner SUV.

Toyota Glanza Facelift

Following the launch of the updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno on September 5, Toyota is expected to introduce a similar refresh for its rebadged version, the Glanza. The report states the facelifted Toyota Glanza will feature a new radiator grille with a curved chrome strip spanning its width. The front Toyota logo may be repositioned.

Other potential changes include new alloy wheels, a sunroof, an ambient lighting system, and new interior upholstery and trim. The source indicates the engine and transmission options will likely be carried over from the current model without major revisions.

Innova Hycross Update

By early next year, Toyota will likely roll out a facelift for the Innova Hycross. Prototypes have reportedly been spotted testing on public roads. The updated model is expected to feature an exterior redesign with a front end inspired by the ninth-generation Hilux.

A new grille layout will be a key distinguishing feature. The radiator grille should be positioned lower and feature a new mesh pattern, while the lower air intake grille is expected to be larger. The report also suggests revisions could include new alloy wheels, a new touchscreen infotainment system, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, and an improved wireless smartphone charger. No major mechanical changes are anticipated with this mid-cycle refresh.

Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner

The all-new, fourth-generation Toyota Fortuner is slated for launch around the middle of next year. Spy shots from development in Thailand indicate the model will have a completely new front fascia, again taking design cues from the latest Hilux. The exterior will be sharper and more contemporary, while the interior is described as more elegant and cleaner.

The next-generation Fortuner should come with a host of new features aimed at improving comfort and convenience. According to the source report, the expected additions include:

It may be offered with the same engine and transmission options as the current model.
