The Skoda Slavia facelift is scheduled to launch on October 6, 2026. This follows the car's unveiling in August and the start of production at the company's Chakan plant in Pune. The launch coincides with a price increase across Skoda's India portfolio, effective October 1, 2026.

Skoda will raise ex-showroom prices by up to 1.2 percent, with the maximum increase capped at Rs 20,000. The exact hike will vary by model and variant. The company attributes the revision to rising input and operational costs. The price revision applies to Skoda’s mainstream India range: the Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq, and Kodiaq.

Design and feature updates

The Slavia facelift marks the sedan's first major update in around four years. Exterior revisions include a new grille, updated LED headlamps, redesigned bumpers, and LED tail lamps with sequential turn indicators. New 16-inch alloy wheel designs are also part of the package. Two new colours join the palette: Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, with deliveries of the latter scheduled to begin in December 2026.

Inside, the car receives a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, replacing the earlier 8-inch unit. The updated 10.1-inch infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Skoda has added a 360-degree camera and a rear-seat massage function, which the brand describes as a segment-first feature. An AI Companion powered by Google Cloud is also included in the technology update.

Powertrain and transmission details

The facelift retains the familiar turbo-petrol engine options but introduces a key transmission change. The powertrain lineup is as follows:

EnginePowerTorqueTransmission
1.0-litre TSI115 PS178 Nm8-speed torque-converter automatic
1.5-litre TSI150 PS250 Nm7-speed dual-clutch automatic

The 1.0-litre TSI engine now pairs with a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic, while the more powerful 1.5-litre unit continues with its 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Pricing and market context

Skoda Auto India said: "Skoda attributes the revision to rising input and operational costs." The price hike across the portfolio takes effect just days before the updated Slavia arrives in showrooms. The facelift will continue to compete with rivals like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and its platform sibling, the Volkswagen Virtus.

Bookings for the Slavia facelift are open for an amount of Rs 15,000.
