The facelifted Honda Elevate will launch on 6 October 2026, incorporating key exterior styling elements from the WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2026. Bookings for the updated SUV are already open for a token amount of Rs 21,000. India will be the first market to receive the model, which is sold as the WR-V in Japan.

The design changes are described as likely but not yet fully confirmed. At the front, the SUV gets a new hexagonal mesh radiator grille with a gloss-black finish. Three horizontal LED strips run along the grille's upper edge, linking the daytime running lights. Honda has moved its logo from the grille to the bonnet, mirroring a recent update to the City sedan and the placement seen on the WR-V concept. The headlamps and front bumper, however, remain unchanged from the outgoing model.

At the rear, the updated Elevate features connected LED lighting with two horizontal illuminated lines. The tail-light lenses keep their shape, but the illuminated strips are extended inward. A revised rear bumper includes a darker lower section and a silver skid-plate-style element. The WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept featured orange detailing on its grille, fog lamps, and lower body, but it is unclear if these accents will be offered on the production SUV.

Interior and feature updates

The cabin is set for a series of upgrades. Interior trim and upholstery will receive minor updates, including lighter materials and visible stitching. A factory-fitted ambient lighting system in an amber colour is part of the package.

Expected new equipment includes ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof option, and power-adjustable controls for both the driver and co-driver seats. Other likely additions are dual-zone climate control, rear sunblinds, a 360-degree camera, and a possible digital interior rearview mirror. Honda has not confirmed the final feature list for every variant.

Powertrain, pricing and market rollout

The mechanical package carries over unchanged. The facelifted Elevate will continue with the existing 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, which delivers approximately 119-121 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission choices are expected to remain a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic. A strong-hybrid setup from the Honda City is not expected to be introduced with this update.
