Maserati India will launch the updated Grecale SUV, GranTurismo coupe and GranCabrio convertible on October 30. The track-focused Maserati GT2 Stradale will be showed alongside the three cars. Their Indian debut comes a little over four months after their global unveiling.

Design and exterior updates

The updated Grecale SUV receives a significant front-end revision. It features a new 'shark-nose' front bumper and grille, a design inspired by the Maserati MCPura supercar. Air curtains and new wheel designs complete the changes. Buyers can also specify the Grigio Lamiera Shiny exterior finish from Maserati’s Fuoriserie personalisation programme.

The GranTurismo coupe and GranCabrio convertible gain subtler tweaks. Their front ends feature reshaped air intakes and a new central splitter. Maserati said: "Maserati claims these changes help increase downforce." At the rear, both models now sport tail-lamps with clear lenses. New exterior colours, wheel designs, and revised detailing further expand the options within the Fuoriserie programme.

Powertrain revisions and performance

Significant mechanical updates accompany the styling changes. The Grecale range continues with three variants, but the Modena model undergoes a major shift. It swaps its 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine for Maserati’s 3.0-litre Nettuno V6, which now produces 390hp. The range-starting Grecale retains its 300hp 2.0-litre engine. The top-spec Grecale Trofeo continues with a V6, delivering 530hp.

Both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio retain their 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6 engine. Outputs have been increased, particularly for the performance-focused Trofeo variants. The Modena versions produce 490hp. The Trofeo models get a 40hp boost due to higher turbo boost pressure and minor engine changes, raising their output to 590hp. Both cars also receive a recalibrated 8-speed automatic gearbox for quicker shift responses.

Personalisation and pricing context

Buyers have more ways to customise their cars. The Fuoriserie programme introduces seven new paint colours: Green Jupiter Matte, Blu Denim, Bronzo Lucido, Bronzo Matte, Grigio Mistero, Rosso Velluto and Oro Lirico. New colour options are also available for the badges and exhaust tips on the GranCabrio and GranTurismo.

The current ex-showroom prices provide a baseline for the incoming models. The Maserati Grecale is priced between Rs 1.14 crore and Rs 2 crore. The GranTurismo starts at Rs 2.54 crore and goes up to Rs 2.72 crore. The GranCabrio is priced at Rs 3 crore. The facelifted models, with their powertrain updates and additional features, are expected to command a slight premium over these figures.

What to expect at launch

All details will be finalized at the October 30 event. Official pricing for the updated models will be announced at the launch.
