Honda Elevate Facelift Launch Date and Design Changes
Honda will launch the facelifted Elevate in India on October 6, 2026, with a design inspired by a Japanese concept car.

The facelifted Honda Elevate is scheduled to launch in India on October 6, 2026. Pre-bookings for the updated compact SUV are already open, requiring a token amount of Rs 21,000.
Design Evolution and Styling Influence
The upcoming Elevate's design draws direct inspiration from the WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept showed at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026. India will be the first market to receive this evolved model. Key styling cues from the concept car have been carried over, creating a clear visual link between Honda's Japanese design studio and its Indian product.
The front end gets a redesigned grille with a glossy black finish and hexagonal mesh elements. The Honda logo moves from the grille to the bonnet's leading edge. A segmented LED daytime running light bar is integrated into the upper grille section, while the main headlight and fog lamp housings retain a similar basic shape. The side profile and overall dimensions are expected to remain largely unchanged, though new alloy wheels and revised exterior detailing are likely.
At the rear, connected LED tail-lights are linked by a horizontal LED element across the tailgate, mirroring the concept car's twin red illuminated lines. The rear bumper features a more prominent black lower section with a silver skid-plate-style element. While the show car's distinctive orange accent across the grille and lower body may not make it to production, the concept's grey exterior, dark wheels, and chunky tyres preview the facelift's more adventurous stance.
Inside, the cabin receives significant updates. The dashboard and door pads are revised with white leatherette padding and visible stitching. Amber-colored ambient lighting strips run along the dashboard and doors. Expected new features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, an electrically adjustable co-driver's seat, dual-zone climate control, rear sunblinds, and a 360-degree camera. Teasers also hint at the possibility of a digital interior rearview mirror, though its operation is unclear. The mechanical package, however, carries over unchanged.
| Aspect | Specification |
|---|---|
| Engine | 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol |
| Power | 121 bhp |
| Torque | 145 Nm |
| Transmission | 6-speed manual or 7-step CVT automatic |
Honda has not indicated plans to introduce a hybrid powertrain for the Elevate. The 1.5-litre strong-hybrid system available in the Honda City is unlikely to be offered. The current Honda Elevate, first introduced in 2023, is priced between Rs 11.81 lakh and Rs 16.36 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for the facelifted version are expected to be revised and announced at the launch on October 6.
Market Positioning and Competitive Landscape
The updated Elevate will re-enter one of India's most fiercely contested segments. Its rivals include a long list of established compact SUVs.
Honda manufactures the Elevate in India and also exports it to Japan, where it has been sold as the WR-V since March 2024. The WR-V was part of Honda's new Trail Line, which uses the off-road racing experience of its HRC division to create SUVs with a more adventurous design character. The facelifted Honda Elevate launches in India on October 6, 2026.
