Simple Energy has launched its first family-oriented electric scooter, the Simple Wave, in the Indian market. The scooter range starts at an introductory price of Rs. 1,09,999 (ex-showroom), with deliveries scheduled to commence in the last week of September 2026.

The new model is offered in six trims across three variants. The company, according to the source report, plans to expand its monthly sales to 10,000 units by March 2027 through capacity and network expansion.

Storage And Dimensions

A major focus of the Simple Wave is storage capacity. It provides a total of 70 litres across three compartments. The underseat storage offers up to 63 litres, an auxiliary 'Pill' unit adds 4 litres, and the glove box provides 3 litres. The Pill feature is described as an industry-first for this segment. The scooter has a 1,347 mm wheelbase, a 150 kg payload capacity, and a seat height of 775 mm.

Battery, Range, And Performance

The lineup is built around multiple battery options, which determine the scooter's range and performance. The top-tier Simple Wave + model is equipped with a 5 kWh battery pack.

Display options include either a 7-inch TFT screen or a 5-inch EBN unit. Higher variants add features like traction control, regenerative braking, hill-hold assist, reverse mode, crawl mode, and vehicle tracking. Full-LED lighting is standard across the headlamp, DRLs, tail lamp, and indicators.

The scooter supports portable, standard, and fast charging. Using the fast charging system, the Wave + can charge from 0 to 80 percent in 2 hours and 15 minutes. A 750 W portable charger is provided for home charging. The battery and motor have an IP67 protection rating.

The Simple Wave is built on a tubular steel frame. It uses telescopic front suspension and progressive twin rear shock absorbers, rolling on 12-inch alloy wheels. Braking is handled by a front disc and a rear drum, supported by a Combined Braking System. Ground clearance is 175 mm, with a water wading capability. All variants get Ride, Eco, and ECOX riding modes, with Sport mode added on higher trims.
