Honda introduced the 2027 City Sedan and Hatchback in Brazil on October 3, 2026. Pre-sales for 3,000 cars opened the same day, with the commercial launch scheduled for early November 2026. The updated models feature a comprehensive exterior redesign and new trim configurations.

The sedan is offered in LX, EX, EXL, and Touring grades. The hatchback adds a range-topping RS variant above the Touring trim. Both body styles are manufactured at Honda's Itirapina plant in São Paulo state.

Key exterior and interior updates

The 2027 City's front end is dominated by a new grille inspired by the Honda Prelude. It features a flatter Honda badge and revised bumper treatment. Full LED headlights are standard across all variants, with Touring and RS models gaining an LED strip connecting the lamp areas. The sedan has a revised lower rear bumper, while the RS hatchback receives its own unique rear treatment.

Inside, Touring and RS variants are equipped with a new 10-inch touchscreen. This system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and includes multi-touch gesture controls. Lower LX, EX, and EXL trims retain an 8-inch touchscreen, with the EX grade adding a front USB-C charging port. The hatchback continues to offer Honda's versatile Magic Seat rear arrangement. Upper trims gain dual-zone climate control, front parking sensors, remote engine start, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The RS hatchback stands out with specific sporty elements. It gets a black roof, black mirrors, a black shark-fin antenna, and darkened 16-inch alloy wheels. Interior highlights include aluminium pedals, a black headliner, red stitching, dark trim, and dedicated instrument graphics.

Performance and efficiency details

A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated flex-fuel engine powers the standard models. It produces 126 hp at 6,200 rpm. Torque figures are 15.8 kgfm (155 Nm) with ethanol and 15.5 kgfm (152 Nm) with petrol, both at 4,600 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT automatic transmission with seven simulated ratios. Honda claims a 0 to 100 kmph acceleration time of around 10.6 seconds.

A hybrid powertrain is also available for the range-topping variant. This 1.5L e:HEV system produces 109PS and 253Nm of torque.

Safety and warranty coverage

Standard safety equipment is extensive. It includes six airbags, stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, tyre-pressure monitoring, emergency braking assistance, and a multi-angle reversing camera. Honda Sensing is included from the EX trim upward. This suite adds adaptive cruise control with Low Speed Follow, collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assistance, road departure mitigation, and automatic high beam.

The sedan gets the LaneWatch camera system from the EXL grade, while the hatchback includes it on Touring and RS models. All variants come standard with a 360-degree Multi-View Camera System, Blind Spot Information, and Cross Traffic Monitoring.

Honda backs the cars with a six-year, unlimited kilometre warranty. An extended warranty program effective from September 1, 2026, offers up to eight years of coverage for all new petrol and hybrid models with unlimited mileage. The hybrid battery and components specifically receive a 10-year warranty with unlimited mileage.
